ADVANTAGES OF OPEN CLASSES

  • there is no start time assignment for open classes, so you can start at any time during two hours and thirty minutes of the start time,
  • there is also a general classification after four stages, so if competing is important to you, you will have the chance to race on more demanding courses and fight for the best possible results,

  • competition organized according to Polish Orienteering Association regulations,
  • the first stage in elite classes will be a World Ranking Event race, so it might be a good idea to earn some WRE points if you are a top-level athlete,

OPEN CLASSES:

RODZINNA

difficulty: easy
distance: 1,5-2,0 km

A course for the youngest members of orienteering family. This is where your children will make their first steps with a map in their hand (or inside their pocket). All this under the supervision of their parents and with the help of ribbons that will mark the route between the controls. Each registered participant in Rodzinna class will receive two maps at the start - for the child and their parent. The course is recommended for children of at least 5 years old. The course is impossible to be completed with a stroller.
ENKA

difficulty: easy
distance: 1,5-2,0 km

The course is intended for children who already learnt some orienteering, but are not yet ready for the challenges of sport classes. Enka is very similar in terms of difficulty and distance to the Rodzinna class with just one difference - children start individually on Enka. Ribbons along the route are intended to help children navigate and reach the finish line safely.
KRÓTKA

difficulty: easy
distance: 2,0-3,0 km

Perfect as a starting point with orienteering - you will learn the basics of navigation and you will not get too tired. Króka class is an ideal solution for ones taking their first steps in the world of orienteering and who feel too mature to go for children's courses.
ŚREDNIA

difficulty: medium
distance: 3,0-4,0 km

If you need a stronger stimulus than Krótka class, then Średnia class is something for you! It will be a little longer and your head will have to work a bit harder on orienteering technique, but it will still be a good choice for beginners.
