ARE YOU A BEGINNER?
If you are just starting out with orienteering or you don't feel completely confident with a map in the forest or if you are a total beginner, then you should know that open classes are for you! You will have the opportunity to try courses with their difficulty adapted to the level of beginners. At the other hand if you like challenges, but sport classes are too long for you, this is also place for you.ARE YOU A PROFESSIONAL?
If orienteering is your daily routine, you will spend 15 seconds on this website. You know exactly what is your class, you will come to the event to compete with your friends and guests from abroad and finally you will leave your sweat in wild masurian woods. Sport classes are definitely for you!ADVANTAGES OF OPEN CLASSES
- there is no start time assignment for open classes, so you can start at any time during two hours and thirty minutes of the start time,
- there is also a general classification after four stages, so if competing is important to you, you will have the chance to race on more demanding courses and fight for the best possible results,
ADVANTAGES OF SPORTS CLASSES
- competition organized according to Polish Orienteering Association regulations,
- the last stage is a chasing start, so the first one who reaches the finish line is the winner,
OPEN CLASSES:
RODZINNA difficulty: easy |
A course for the youngest members of orienteering family. This is where your children will make their first steps with a map in their hand (or inside their pocket). All this under the supervision of their parents and with the help of ribbons that will mark the route between the controls. Each registered participant in Rodzinna class will receive two maps at the start - for the child and their parent. The course is recommended for children of at least 5 years old. The course is impossible to be completed with a stroller. |
ENKA difficulty: easy |
The course is intended for children who already learnt some orienteering, but are not yet ready for the challenges of sport classes. Enka is very similar in terms of difficulty and distance to the Rodzinna class with just one difference - children start individually on Enka. Ribbons along the route are intended to help children navigate and reach the finish line safely. |
KRÓTKA difficulty: easy |
Perfect as a starting point with orienteering - you will learn the basics of navigation and you will not get too tired. Króka class is an ideal solution for ones taking their first steps in the world of orienteering and who feel too mature to go for children's courses. |
ŚREDNIA difficulty: medium |
If you need a stronger stimulus than Krótka class, then Średnia class is something for you! It will be a little longer and your head will have to work a bit harder on orienteering technique, but it will still be a good choice for beginners. |
CHALLENGE difficulty: difficult |
As the name suggests, it will not be an easy task. You have to be really good at orienteering to choose this class. The class is dedicated to ones who feel that sport classes are a bit too long for them, but they still want to face a real technical challenge, only on a shorter distance. |
ULTRA difficulty: difficult |
If you like the difficulty of the Challenge class, but also want to get more tired, then Ultra class will be the perfect choice. You will sweat on it and you will get a little lost. The class is dedicated to ones who feel that sport classes are a bit too long for them, but they still want to face a real technical challenge, only on a shorter distance. |
